Quintet of the Americas celebrates Immigrant Heritage with a concert of wind quintet music by composers from China, Japan, Cuba, Mexico, Colombia and Brazil. Music will include the New York premiere of Chen Yi’s “Quintet No. 3,” Soong Fu-Yuan’s “Zhong Guo Xiao Jing,” Yao Chen’s “Sfumato,” Kenji Bunch’s “Shout Chorus,” James Cohn’s “Fiesta Latina” and Judah Adashi’s “Songs and Dances of Macondo” based on Gabriel Garcia Márquez’ novel “One Hundred Years of Solitude.”
